Destiny Udogie will receive a late fitness call from Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.
Destiny Udogie is expected to play against Crystal Palace on Friday night, according to Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, but he will need to pass a late fitness test.
The Italy international was substituted out of Monday night’s 2-0 victory over Fulham in the 55th minute. This season, he has started all nine of Spurs’ Premier League games.

After the game, Postecoglou played down the seriousness of the problem, claiming he “just felt a bit tired at half time.”
Coach Australian added: “We said we’d give it ten, fifteen minutes.” Again, quick turnaround: it seemed sensible to take him off after we scored the second goal.
After being ill before the match, Pape Matar Sarr was also forced to withdraw against Fulham. Although the midfielder has resumed training, Udogie is still feeling worn out and will be evaluated closer to kickoff.
“The two main ones from the other night are Pape and Destiny,” Postecoglou said in response to a question about the pair’s suitability to play Crystal Palace.
“Pape is doing fine; he recovered from the game in about twenty-four hours.” Despite a minor illness, he has trained effectively.
We’re still going to evaluate destiny. Of course, things have changed quickly since the other night.
We’ll take a look today, assess the situation, and then decide. All other participants have recovered well and are available.
In a different interview with the club’s media, he repeated those remarks, stating, “Pape’s fine.” He had a slight illness going into the Fulham match, but he recovered nicely and practiced great today.
“We will still sort of examine and evaluate Destiny.” Since there won’t be much time, we’ll watch how he does today and decide tomorrow.
Ben Davies could start against Palace on Friday night after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the starting lineup on Monday, even if Emerson Royal took Udogie’s place against Fulham.
Postecoglou responded, “He is fine,” when asked about the Welshman’s absence. The day before training, he received a knock.
It’s true that our training occasionally verges on the dangerous side, and he regrettably took a nasty one during it. It was just a knock, but since it was the day before the game, he was excluded. He’s been training, and he’s good to go.
