Sandro Tonali “may be available” to take on the claims of Wolves. Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, says the team is still waiting for official word on his 10-month betting ban.
Eddie Howe thinks there’s a good chance Sandro Tonali will be available for Saturday’s match against Wolves, as Newcastle is still awaiting official word regarding the midfielder’s 10-month ban.
Chief of the Italian FA Gabriele Gravina announced on Thursday that a 10-month ban with eight months of therapy had been agreed upon.
Howe disclosed that the Magpies have not received confirmation at a press conference held prior to the game.
Howe said, “It’s challenging because we don’t yet have that official confirmation as a football club.”
We’ve heard the news and rumors, but as of right now, the Italian authorities haven’t given us any information, so we’re essentially waiting for that formal confirmation to surface.
I believe there’s a good chance he could be at our disposal. Let’s see, there are a few things that need to occur before the ban is implemented.
