The next Premier League shareholders’ meeting could decide to forbid clubs from bringing in players on loan from affiliated teams, which includes Newcastle and several Saudi Pro League teams.

Regarding the proposed new rules, Eddie Howe has hinted that Newcastle is prepared for a brawl with their Premier League rivals.

On November 21, club executives will cast their votes for modifications aimed at preventing Newcastle from lending players to Saudi Arabian teams that are also owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.

A second modification might make it more difficult for Newcastle to get sponsorship agreements with PIF-owned businesses unless competing offers with comparable value are submitted.

Al-Hilal, owned by the Saudi state-controlled PIF, paid £47 million to Wolves for Toon loan target Ruben Neves last summer.

In January, Neves is considered a loan target to take Sandro Tonali’s place, who is banned.

Rivals in the top flight are concerned that Newcastle may use FOUR Saudi clubs as a backdoor to bring players to Tyneside at a reduced cost.

Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli are also owned by the PIF, and their roster of players includes N’Golo Kante, Jota, Riyad Mahrez, Fabinho, and Sadio Mane.

Sponsorship agreements with PIF or Saudi-owned businesses include Saudia Airlines, Noon, and shirt sponsors Sela.

Howe responded to today’s possible Premier League limitations on his team. You can assume that Newcastle will oppose the changes, he responded when asked.

Howe said, “I will let you decide why those rules are coming in,” during a series of exchanges with reporters regarding the impact and reasons behind the move, which appear to be intended to impede Newcastle’s growth and the influence of the Saudi PIF. I’m not supposed to comment on that.

“We have to abide by the regulations established by the Premier League and work within their guidelines. I have to exercise caution and set limits on what I can.

I’m in the football world; I’m not in that other world.

We wish to compete on the field within the established guidelines. I can’t really give you chapter and verse because I have no control over the situation.

“I’m responding to what’s taking place. It’s probably best if you make inferences from that rather than me.

I wouldn’t be aware of the reasons for the upcoming rule modifications. I find it very difficult to make a firm judgment; all we can do is respond to the changes as they occur.
