Luis Palma claims that something that Celtics fans did truly shocked him.
After a brilliant start to his first season at the club, I believe it’s safe to say that Luis Palma has become the darling of Celtic and the fans.
The Honduran international has been winning a ton of awards for his goals and assists. Most recently, he outperformed Aberdeen in the 6-0 victory.
But while on Honduran international duty, Palma was questioned about his adjustment to Scotland and the song that the Celtic supporters had composed just for him.
“I didn’t think they would release a song from me, I thank the club’s fans, they’re the best fans I’ve ever had in my clubs,” Palma told [Diez].
“I feel blessed, and I pray to God so I can keep going.”
Undoubtedly, Palma enjoys a great deal of popularity among his native media.
The 23-year-old is widely covered by the media and is regarded as one of the top players in the nation.
With Mexico coming up this week, many Hondurans are looking to Palma to lead his team past a team that is ranked 15th in the world.
And it’s easy to understand why. Palma has made eight appearances in the Scottish Premiership, scoring four goals and providing five assists. [Market Transfer]
The fans get excited by his passing and man-beat skills, and he shoots and delivers dead balls with incredible skill.
Without a doubt, Palma fits the definition of success in Celtic’s transfer market and appears to have a promising future in the sport.
For now, though, Celtic supporters can enjoy seeing Palma play this weekend for Honduras. Only if you’re a night owl, though.
With the game starting at two in the morning on Saturday, most people will only need to look up the highlights, and maybe Palma will end up on the scoresheet.
