The national team management was let down by the news of two injuries to Celtic players.
Every year during international week, TBR Celtic tries to provide you with any updates regarding the players who have departed Scotland to join their respective international squads.
In addition to praying that all 14 of Celtic’s players perform well during their ten days abroad on international duty, supporters will also be hoping that they return from their trip without any injuries.
Nonetheless, Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda, two Celtic attackers, are hardly a threat to them.
After suffering an injury during Sunday’s 6-0 victory over Aberdeen, Kyogo had to be substituted due to a horrifying head collision.
Maeda’s red card challenge during the Champions League encounter against Atletico Madrid resulted in ligament damage, which might sideline him for up to six weeks.
When questioned about the two players, Japan’s manager, Hajime Moriyasu, expressed sympathy but also gave them both the go-ahead to bounce back even stronger.
“It’s unfortunate to miss them both, but the players are the ones who are most disappointed,” Moriyasu stated [The Herald].
The most crucial thing is that they both fully recover and resume their productive roles at respective club.
“I believe those are players with the strength and will to accomplish that.”
Kyogo and Maeda will now be on Celtic’s injury list with Reo Hatate as Brendan Rodgers prepares to play without a few of his best players in December.
Fortunately, Kyogo will return in time for the season to resume at Celtic Park on November 25 against Motherwell.
However, the players who are on the margins of the Celtic first team are still given a chance by Hatate and Maeda’s absence.
Brendan Rodgers will need to use his entire team due to a demanding schedule in December in order to prevent any players from becoming burnt out or suffering any injuries.
