An explosive winger might be lost by Leeds in January.
Wilfried Gnonto is rumored to be leaving Leeds United once more, with Lazio, an Italian team, considering a “expensive loan” in January.
For a ridiculous £5.3 million, the Whites acquired the gifted winger in 2022, and he proved to be one of their greatest performers the following year.
But Leeds’ campaign ultimately resulted in relegation, and Gnonto has since been connected to a transfer away from Elland Road.
During the summer transfer season, Everton made many offers for the gifted 20-year-old, but Leeds resisted and turned down their advances.
49ers Enterprises, the new owners of Leeds, made it apparent that they would not allow Gnonto to go for any amount of money.
This season, he has made ten appearances in the Championship, totaling one goal and one assist.
Having a player of Gnonto’s caliber in the Leeds lineup will be beneficial if they are to return to the Premier League on their first attempt.

Still, there is constant conjecture over the winger’s future. It was said last week that Gnonto would gladly quit Leeds if the right opportunity came along since he was still not happy there.
The Italy international swiftly denied such claims, responding to the story on social media with a “laughing emoji.”
Despite this, Gnonto is reportedly the target of both Roma and Everton, who have been connected to a new approach.
As of right now, Lazio president Claudio Lotito is ‘keeping a tight check’ on Gnonto’s condition, according to the Italian publication Calciostyle.
Lotito thinks the winger would fit right in with Lazio’s philosophy and be a “successful player in Serie A.”
According to Calciostyle, Gnonto is dissatisfied at Elland Road and believes that joining Lazio would be a “major opportunity to add European football to his CV.”
The Italian team is anticipated to go to the Champions League knockout stages; in the event that they do not, they ought to be participating in the Europa League during the latter part of the season.
