The Blaze will make their first trip to the Auld Barn this season but the night before the Flyers will play their second game at the Skydome where they will be looking to gain back to back wins on Blaze ice having won there at the start of October. The Blaze come into the weekend having lost their last two matches and are sitting at the foot of the table with the Flyers just one place above them but having played two more games. The Blaze opened their league campaign with an overtime loss in Sheffield before losing at home to the Flyers. They picked up their first win in Glasgow with a shootout decision before falling at home to the Steelers the next night. Their troubles on home ice continued as they went winless in their opening four league games at the Skydome with further defeats to the Belfast Giants and Dundee Stars before their only regulation win when they turned the tables on the Stars 24 hours later on Tayside. Last weekend they suffered their second overtime loss to the Steelers in Sheffield. In Challenge Cup action the Blaze have one more game to play when they host the Cardiff Devils next midweek. Unlike their league form at home, Coventry have picked up five points in their three home games but have lost all four games on the road in their group which also includes the Guildford Flames.
