Liverpool Leading the battle to sign a new “sensation” for a deal worth over £50 million.

The January transfer window is when the Reds might cash in on their opportunities.

In order to bolster his team in January, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will surely look to the market, and rumors have it that the German and owners FSG are in prime position to recruit a new player.

Liverpool’s triumphant reconstruction…
When the Reds first arrived at Anfield in the summer, most people there agreed that a team rebuild would be required to fulfill their goal of competing at the highest level of English football with teams like Manchester City.

The previous window saw a lot of changes at the club as veteran managers Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Roberto Firmino, among others, left to make room for newcomers.

In an attempt to revamp his engine room, Klopp made the moves to sign Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister.

It appears that this move paid off as Liverpool is currently second in the Premier League standings after 12 games with 27 points.

To boost squad depth in critical places, more work may be required in January. Football Insider reports that Klopp appears to be adding to his midfield arsenal and that a transfer for Kalvin Phillips, a midfielder for Manchester City, may now be in the works.

According to the source, Serie A powerhouse Juventus has also made an attempt to sign the England international; but, at this point, he would prefer to stay in the English premier league.

Leroy Sane, a winger for Bayern Munich, is rumored to be a target for Liverpool as well. The 27-year-old said he is delaying contract negotiations with the German champions in order to concentrate on the current campaign.

Liverpool is the front-runner to recruit Sporting Club defender Goncalo Inacio, who has a release clause worth €60 million (£52.5 million) in his current contract with the Portuguese powerhouse.

The rumors come from Spain. Though other teams, like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain, are also interested in the Portugal international, Liverpool may have the advantage in negotiations because of their intention to make Inacio a “undisputed starter.”

This player, Inacio, has been a constant for Sporting, amassing 17 games in all competitions for his current employers.

He was previously called a “sensation” by Football Talent scout Jacek Kulig (Inacio statistics – Transfermarkt).

Now that Liverpool hopes to unseat Manchester City in the Premier League between now and May of next year, an Anfield move may be in store for Inacio.
