This past weekend, Los Angeles finally snapped their losing streak against the Houston Rockets when James Harden scored a game-winning step-back triple for his new team.

The Clippers defeated Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in a commanding fashion the next night.

Undoubtedly, the addition of Harden has shaken up this Clippers team. With the former NBA MVP joining the squad, everyone has had to make compromises, even Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

Russell Westbrook is one athlete who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Since then, the point guard has given up his starting position based only on his own abilities to make room for his ex-teammate.

Bones Hyland, another guard, has seen less playing time since Harden’s arrival. Having saying that, the Clippers ought to manage to deal Hyland during the season.

Though Hyland called cap on a Bleacher Report story indicating that the Clippers’ front office informed him he would be benched for the foreseeable future, it seems like that is what’s unfolding in Los Angeles right now.

Situation reminiscent for Nah’Shon

Hyland is in a terrible circumstance, no doubt about it. He can score baskets quickly and is an incredible scorer.

The Clippers acquired the 6-foot-3 guard from the Denver Nuggets at the trade deadline last season.

He was supposed to serve as a backup to Russell Westbrook. But Los Angeles later traded for veteran Eric Gordon, and the youngster lost his rotation spot to the veteran.

It certainly seemed like Hyland was in for a significant role this season. But with the Los Angeles native coming into town, he is walking into another similar scenario.

That being said, the young guard deserves a chance to develop as a player, and the Clippers should send him somewhere else. Similarly, Los Angeles would benefit more from his trade for a useful player. The Clippers can entertain these suggestions.
