Newcastle United warmed up supporters on a frigid November afternoon by defeating Chelsea 4-1. The team was playing brilliantly.

Before the match, Joe Willock’s Achilles injury ruled him out, and Sean Longstaff’s ankle problem from Bournemouth did not heal in time, dealing Eddie Howe a further blow.

After Alexander Isak, assisted by Lewis Miley, put Newcastle ahead in minute twelve, the game seemed promising for the Magpies until Raheem Sterling’s free kick tied the score.

But following the interval, Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton, and Anthony Gordon scored goals to cap off an incredible triumph.

Newcastle United were in sparkling form against Chelsea as they ran out 4-1 winners to warm up fans on a chilly November afternoon.

Eddie Howe was dealt a fresh blow before the game when Joe Willock was ruled out with an Achilles injury while Sean Longstaff did not recover in time from an ankle issue suffered at Bournemouth.

The game had started well for Newcastle after Lewis Miley picked out Alexander Isak who fired the Magpies ahead on 12 minutes but a Raheem Sterling free-kick levelled matters.

Yet the goals flowed after the break as Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton and Anthony Gordon wrapped up a memorable victory.

Left rooted to the spot for Sterling free-kick but made other key saves, was a spectator in second half.

Recovered from conceding free-kick in first half to put in a polished display. Denied by the crossbar from free-kick.

Had a shaky moment when Sterling burst through but contributed after the break with bullet header.

Got through the game despite recent issues. Almost got in on the scoring in the second half but a solid display.
