A NSW Cup star secures a Top 30 position for 2025.
Clayton Faulalo, who was just included in the NSW Cup Team of the Year for 2023, has made sure that the Manly Sea Eagles will be in the Top 30 by 2025.
In 2023, Faulalo made a fantastic debut for the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles in the NSW Cup, racking up 29 tries in 24 games.
This followed stints with the Parramatta Eels (Jersey Flegg) in 2021 and the Wentworthville Magpies (Ron Massey Cup) in 2021.
He is a versatile back who can play fullback, wing, or center. He won the Blacktown Workers’ Players’ Player award at the end-of-season awards ceremony.
Earlier this year, Faulalo stated, “I just wanted to play NSW Cup and play the best footy that I can, irrespective of how many tries I’d score.”
I don’t mind playing any position, but if I had to pick one, I would prefer to be a full-back. I can move around a little more there, but I’m content to play anyplace.
Under the terms of the new deal, he will practice with the NRL team the next year and join the Top 30 roster in 2025.
He hopes to be called up to the NRL squad in the future and will be keen to build on his fantastic debut season in the NSW Cup.
“Clayton was the competition’s top try scorer and had an incredible season in the NSW Cup,” Seibold stated in a statement released by the team.
We are particularly enthusiastic about this player’s potential and how we can develop him over the next two seasons, especially considering that he hasn’t played in a full-time setting.
We believe that he has the potential to be a first-grader in the future if you combine that with his undeveloped talent.
“Clayton will be in our top 30 in 2025 and will be training with the NRL squad full-time next year.”
