After an expected disastrous signing, the 21-year-old is already prepared to “consider his future” at Chelsea.
You could practically set your watch by it: Noni Madueke is rumored to be leaving Chelsea, nearly a full year after joining.
At the time, it felt like an odd and pointless signing. Madueke has not really demonstrated the skills or potential to be handed an immediate opportunity at Chelsea.
The fact that he hasn’t been given much of an opportunity is the worst part. Since then, more players have been acquired who are now ahead of him in the running for minutes, and under Mauricio Pochettino, he has hardly played this season.
We’re not surprised that he’s prepared to “consider his future,” as reported by The Telegraph.
Anywhere he plays, he’ll be better placed than on the Chelsea bench, where they are now having trouble.
We may envisage a loan for Madueke if Pochettino is satisfied with the depth of the attacking group after Christopher Nkunku returns, but regardless of what transpires right now, Madueke’s signing is already seeming like the foreseeable disaster it was from the start.
