Armando Broja of Chelsea set to join Fulham in January?

According to reports, Armando Broja of Chelsea is a January target for Fulham.

After Aleksandar Mitrovic moved to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League this summer, the Cottagers are still looking for a successor.

Despite scoring three goals in their victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, Fulham has found it difficult to score goals on a regular basis since Mitrovic left.

Fulham have reportedly identified Chelsea striker Armando Broja as a January target.

The Cottagers are still searching for a replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the summer.

Although they netted three times in Monday’s win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham have struggled to consistently find the net following Mitrovic’s departure.

The West London club have registered 13 goals in as many Premier League matches this season – only the three newly-promoted sides have scored fewer.

Marco Silva’s current forward options Raul Jimenez, Carlos Vinicius and Rodrigo Muniz have only mustered two league goals between them, highlighting the need for a new striker.

Fulham have been linked with a potential move for Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, who has racked up 15 goals in 10 Bundesliga appearances this term.

However, with Guirassy attracting interest from a number of other clubs, Fulham are considering alternative targets.

According to the Daily Mail, the Cottagers are considering a potential move for Broja, having identified similarities with Mitrovic’s playing style.

The Albania international has returned to action this season after spending a significant period on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

It should be noted that in his five league games this season, Broja has scored just once, during Chelsea’s 2-0 victory against Fulham in October.

Broja needs consistent game time to increase his match fitness as he has only started two Premier League games this season.

Chelsea may let Broja go on loan since they plan to add a new striker during the January transfer window.

Jonas Wind is another striker that Fulham may consider. The Wolfsburg player has drawn attention after netting nine goals in 12 Bundesliga games this year.
