Rumors of Diomande signing a new contract with Newcastle United and Murphy saying “money talks”

A Newcastle united player is set for sighing a new contract…

A look at the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Thursday, November 30.

Newcastle target set to sign new contract

Newcastle United transfer target Ousmane Diomande is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Portuguese side Sporting.

A Bola claims the Lions want their African players tied down to new deals ahead of the African Cup of Nations with Diomande among those players.

Diomande’s current deal runs until the summer of 2027, but his low wages and impressive performances are attracting attention from a number of elite clubs, including the Magpies.

The defender receives a reported €300k a year, which would rise with a new deal but the reported release clause in the region of €80million would remain the same.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have also been linked with the centre-back in recent weeks, but he won’t be leaving the club in January unless a bid meets their high valuation.

Injury crisis could impact Jacob Murphy talks’.

Former Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur defender Alan Hutton feels that Newcastle United would need their injury crisis to improve before sanctioning a move for Jacob Murphy.

It comes after reports linked Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace with a move for the Magpies winger, who is currently out injured after surgery on a dislocated shoulder.

Hutton told Football Insider: “If he continues in this way, and if their injuries continue, then you can’t imagine Newcastle would want to lose anybody. I’ve said it a million times but money talks.

“If there’s an offer for Murphy there that they think is acceptable or if they think they can get a good replacement in then they’ll obviously consider it.

There won’t be any closed doors. whether they consider all the data before making a decision. However, I don’t think they’ll want to lose anyone as it is.
