REPORT: Top-Ten Heisman Finalists

As the postseason awards continue to roll in for the Michigan Wolverines, it was revealed on Friday night that Michigan is the only school in the country with two players in the top ten of Heisman voting this year. Not surprisingly, those two players are JJ McCarthy and Blake Corum.

In his two seasons as a starter, the junior quarterback is a perfect 25-0 in regular season play, including a 2-0 record against Ohio State, 2-0 record against Penn State, and a 2-0 record against Michigan State. As a starter, McCarthy has also helped deliver two consecutive Big Ten Championships to Ann Arbor.

It remains to be seen whether or not the talented QB will return for his senior season, but there’s little doubt that he’s already established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play at the University of Michigan. . With at least one game remaining as a Wolverine, Corum is already the record holder for single-season touchdown runs with 22, and he’s just one touchdown away from taking over the No. 1 spot all-time in career rushing TDs. Regardless of how the rest of this season plays out, Corum has already established himself as arguably the greatest running back to ever wear the winged helmet.
