During the last few seasons, the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have had one of the most intriguing non-divisional rivalries in the entire NFL.

Both the Bills and Chiefs have been among the top contenders in the AFC for the last few years, but so far, Kansas City has been the team that typically ends their season with more success than Buffalo.

On Sunday, the two AFC rivals will meet in a late-afternoon matchup that will have a major impact on the current playoff journey of each franchise.

The Bills will rely heavily on the impressive talents of their quarterback, Josh Allen, while the Chiefs believe they have a plan to prevent the Buffalo signal-caller from making a large impact with his rushing skills (via NFL Media’s James Palmer on Twitter).

Kansas City will have linebacker Nick Bolton back on the field this weekend for the first time in their last five games, and according to NFL Media’s James Palmer, the Chiefs are expected to use the veteran defender to spy on Allen throughout Sunday’s game.

Allen has been running the ball more since the Bills fired Ken Dorsey as their offensive coordinator last month, so Kansas City is expecting the quarterback to do more of the same this weekend.

Palmer also shared that, leading up to Sunday’s contest, Kansas City defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has told his players to treat Allen like a fullback whenever the quarterback goes outside of the pocket.

The Bills and Chiefs have had some classic battles in the past, and we should expect more of the same when these two teams battle on Sunday.
