Celtic’s win over Feyenoord was well deserved last night and, finally, removes that winless monkey off their back in the Champions League.

The Celtic fans would have been heading to Parkhead fearing the worst after Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Cameron Carter-Vickers may not be involved in the final Champions League fixture of the season after his injury scare this week.

However, they didn’t have to worry as super-sub, Gustaf Lagerbielke popped up in the 90th minute to head home the winner and gain some redemption for his Rotterdam red card earlier in the season.

However, it wasn’t that moment that had Feyenoord’s boss, Arne Slot, raging. The 45-year-old was spotted fuming with the match officials right before Celtic were awarded a penalty last night.

BBC pitch side reporter Jane Lewis said [BBC], “Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is not a happy man.

“Moments before the penalty award he was deep in conversation with the fourth official complaining about something.

“Then came the penalty award and that certainly didn’t help his mood.”

Whatever he was complaining about it didn’t really matter. Celtic went on to win the game and, if anything, Brendan Rodgers probably had more to complain about after his side’s antics last night.
