Chicago – Max Stassi and the Atlanta Braves are shipping $6.26 million to the White Sox, which pays for all the catcher owes them in 2019–2020, save for the $740,000 major league minimum salary.
One day after the Braves acquired Stassi from the Los Angeles Angels in a trade, the catcher was moved to the White Sox on Saturday.
Chicago will send $100,000, or a player to be named, to Atlanta.
This season, 32-year-old Stassi did not play. After straining his left hip during spring training, the team announced on September 9 that he would miss the remainder of the season due to a significant medical situation in his family, even though he was able to resume baseball workouts.

In the 2009 amateur draft, Oakland chose Stassi in the fourth round. February 2013, he was dealt to the Astros.
