Trade news: Sea Eagles couldnt wait to welcome his rivals key man.
Naufahu Whyte, a young forward, has signed a two-year contract extension with the Roosters that will keep him with the team through the end of the 2026 campaign.
Since joining the team in 2021, the 21-year-old backrower has participated in 11 first-grade matches, including eight in 2023.
Daniel Anderson, the head of recruitment for the Roosters, expressed his satisfaction with Whyte’s extension after learning that he was also selected as the 18th player in the Kiwis squad for the recent Pacific Championships.
“Observing Fahu’s development within our team over the past few years has been fantastic,” Anderson remarked.
“He’s a hard worker and a good person, and his best footy is ahead of him, so it’s great to have him locked into the club’s long-term plans.”
