GOOD NEWS: Bills coach have sign another QB from …..
The Boston Bruins have announced a number of roster moves: forward Patrick Brown has been called up from the team’s AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, while defenseman Charlie McAvoy and forward Pavel Zacha have been placed on injured reserve. Parker Wotherspoon, a defenseman, has also been brought back, but with an emergency recall classification.
Due to an upper-body ailment, McAvoy is still out; his condition was previously listed as day-to-day. His last performance was on December 7. Zacha was last listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury and hasn’t been on the field since departing the team’s game against the Arizona Coyotes on December 9.
For the Bruins, Zacha and McAvoy are both vital players. With the highest average time on ice per game (24:09), McAvoy is the team’s best defenceman. Zacha is typically the starting center for the Bruins and plays the most ice time (including time on both special teams units) of any Bruins pivot each night.
The organization has recalled Brown, an NHL veteran of almost 150 games, to replace Zacha. In the NHL, the adaptable 31-year-old undrafted forward has a 55.8% faceoff win percentage and can play both center and wing. This season, he has alternated between Providence and Boston, participating in six AHL and eight NHL games.
Wotherspoon, 26, is a seasoned veteran in the AHL and a left-shot defenseman. He has participated in more than 300 AHL games and has played in 15 NHL games overall. This season, he has made three appearances for the Bruins and has one assist.
