Columbus, Ohio — It seemed for a time that Louisville football and Ohio State football would play in the Orange Bowl this month.

It appears that the Cardinals had a close look at Vic Cutler through different channels. The former backup center for Ohio State said on social media on Sunday that he had committed to the coaching staff of former Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm.

After spending one season with the Buckeyes, Cutler registered his name on Nov. 30 through the NCAA transfer portal. After coming in from Louisiana Lafayette, he played 21 offensive snaps over the course of four games, adding depth to an offensive line lacking in experienced players.
