Draymond Green received an indefinite suspension, which shocked the NBA. Following a ferocious swing at Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic, the Golden State Warriors player was given this severe sentence. Many people were curious about the duration of the indefinite suspension. According to Shams Charania, we now at least have a timeline for his suspension.

“Sources say that Draymond Green, a four-time NBA champion for the Warriors, has begun the counseling process and will likely be suspended for the next three weeks.”

The recent altercation that Green was involved in was the one with Nurkic. This season, the veteran of the Warriors has been ejected three times. Of these ejections, the most notorious one involved him choking Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert. Although Green received a suspension for the incident, some supporters believed the forward should have received more.

In the NBA, indefinite suspensions are not unusual. It isn’t, however, the customary penalty for “unsportsmanlike” behavior. We frequently receive a suspension of three or five games. However, Draymond’s indefinite suspension stems from his history of offenses. You have an issue when a player is more well-known for these kinds of actions than for their skill in the game.

Now, without their general on defense, the Warriors will try to make it through the season. They still have a lot of work to do to regain their form from the previous season at 12–14. Is it possible for Stephen Curry to lead his team back to the title game, or even just to the playoffs?
