BREAKING: 4 Star Running Back Jordan Lyle Flips From Ohio State to Miami
The Ohio State Buckeyes lost a big commitment from Jordan Lyle on Monday night
During the 2024 recruiting season, the Ohio State Buckeyes have been very successful. According to Rivals.com and On3, they currently have the top class in the nation.
But on Monday night, that class suffered a blow when four-star running back Jordan Lyle decided not to continue with the team. Since April, he had dedicated himself to the program.
Miami had been pursuing Lyle, the No. 2 running back in the country according to On3, for some time, but in the end, the family dynamic triumphed.

“My family was treated exceptionally well in Miami, which is what really stood out and is a major factor in my decision,” Lyle said to On3. “I’m also used to the weather here in Miami.” Miami prevailed over Ohio State because of two factors: coach Alford is a superb coach and person, and Ohio State has a fantastic program.
Additionally, Lyle felt completely at ease with the Miami coaching staff and their intended use of him.
In the On3 interview, Lyle stated, “I’m closest with Coach Harris, Coach Hyppolite, and Coach Cristobal.” “They intend to use me as a backup quarterback. I get along well with the coaching staff. I’m treated like family by everyone.

This defeat is a serious blow to the Buckeyes’ running back prospects and will surely jeopardize their top rating in the class.
With other programs still heavily weighted after Jeremiah Smith and Eddrick Houston, the two best players in the class, he may not be the lone casualty either.
But for the time being, it appears that both players are committed to the Buckeyes.
