Transfers Robert Lewis, Gage Keys officially sign with Auburn
Auburn’s transfer portal acquisitions, two of whom are now in the early signing period, have officially joined the team.
According to the program’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, former Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis and former Kansas defensive lineman Gage Keys have signed their national letter of interest with Auburn.
Lewis had an outstanding season at Georgia State, catching 70 catches for 877 yards and seven scores before joining Auburn. He gained notoriety the previous season as Jamari Thrash, a former Panther and current Louisville receiver, used him as a secondary receiver. Lewis finished 2022 as Georgia State’s second-best receiver with 379 yards on 22 catches and six touchdowns.
Keys steps in to cover a significant void left by Marcus Harris’s NFL Draft declaration. Keys improved his standing as a true sophomore at Kansas by making 21 stops after spending his freshman year at Minnesota. Pro Football Focus reports that Keys has played 301 snaps for the Jayhawks this year. He recorded 13 pressures, one sack, and nine quarterback hurries while he was on the field. unclear
