As a taste of things to come, I like Auburn’s chances to sign at least two of the remaining prospects for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers: defensive lineman Amaris Williams from Clinton (N.C.), safety KJ Bolden from Buford (Ga.) High School, and defensive lineman LJ McCray from Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland.

Bolden is a unanimous 5-star prospect, and Williams and McCray are both outstanding prospects who, according on the recruiting agency, are graded as 4- or 5-star athletes.

The Tigers would be well inside the national top-10 recruiting rankings if they added these three outstanding recruits to the prospects who have already committed. Auburn will have a top-5 class if Ryan Williams, who signed on February 9, is also eventually added by the Tigers.

Remember to include the offensive line as well. Coen Echols, a player from Katy (Texas) High School, is someone Freeze and his staff are eager to recruit. It’s either LSU or Auburn on Tuesday night. Generally speaking, even if Texas or Texas A&M are in the running for recruits in the Houston region, it can be challenging to defeat LSU. Auburn faces a challenging task ahead of them.
