On Monday, the Florida Gators secured their third commitment in as many days, continuing their recent hot streak in the transfer portal.
Trikweze Bridges, an Oregon defensive back transfer, visited both programs over the last two weekends before deciding to commit to Florida over Washington.
“Devoted to the Florida University.” Bridges posted on Twitter using X.
Bridges observed, “I can see what they’re trying to do with their defense and how they’re trying to turn it around.” “They are young, but they have some pieces here.” I am aware that having someone in the room with them to mentor and educate them would be beneficial.
The Oregon transfer would prefer to concentrate on just one position despite having played every position in the defensive backfield throughout his career.
He remarked, “I want to get back to safety, but I’m very versatile.” Since my origins are there, I want to check how safe things are once more. In high school, I played safety, but I didn’t have a lot of snaps.
After spending his whole college career playing cornerback for Oregon and amassing three interceptions throughout his time with the Ducks, Bridges only has one year left.
