Eagles fans should be concerned about the shocking Jalen Hurts update.
UPDATES: Shocking Eagles mourns Jalen Hurts For…
For a team in command of their own division, the Philadelphia Eagles are as close to a panic attack as you can imagine. They are 10-3 and in control of the NFC East, but two of their losses have come in back-to-back sets against the Dallas Cowboys and the NFC contender San Francisco 49ers. Furthermore, since the Birds were never in the game, defeats are a relative phrase.
There are already a lot of worries about the franchise as of Monday night. They’ve quietly changed the defense’s leader, handing Matt Patricia the reins virtually overnight. Darius Slay and Zach Cunningham, two defenders, have already been declared out of the game, adding to the mounting list of injuries.
However, there have been tales of a “flu-like” bug lingering, and Jalen Hurts, the star quarterback, has fallen victim to it.
News from the Eagles: Jalen Hurts Almost Didn’t Go to Seattle
Hurts was feeling so weak, according to Ian Rapoport, that he nearly skipped Monday’s trip to Seattle to play the Seahawks.
Hurts ultimately chose to travel to Seattle on his own rather than with the team.
Rap does acknowledge that he thinks Hurts will play tonight because that’s “what he does,” but even so, this is a serious worry for an offense that is having trouble for the Eagles.
This is about as close to a “must have” game as you can get for the Birds, given the Eagles’ recent performance run. The results from yesterday guarantee them a spot in the playoffs. However, everyone is aware of how important it is to have one or maybe two home playoff games in order to win the Super Bowl. If Hurts decides to participate, he must go all in and secure a win.
Fortunately for Eagles supporters, Drew Lock will start in place of Geno Smith as Seattle has its own quarterback health difficulties.
This makes the Eagles favorites even while playing on the road, even if the primetime battle is predicted to be fiercely contested by the bookies.
