DC Rumors: “The Heat Is on” for the Packers Job Seeking Joe Barry, ‘Many’ NFL Insiders
Joe Barry, the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, is apparently under fire even though he hasn’t been dismissed yet.
As Green Bay has lost two straight games, Barry has come under criticism. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, numerous coaches are “on the radar” to take over as the Packers’ DC.
This season, the Packers are 17th in points against and 23rd in yards allowed. For the most part, the club has performed in the middle of the pack, finishing with a 6-8 record overall and outside of the NFC playoff picture.
Following Green Bay’s 34-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which included a 381-yard, four-touchdown performance by Baker Mayfield, there were rumors that head coach Matt LaFleur will fire Barry on Monday.
