NEWS NOW: 18-year-old Newcastle prospect Eddie Howe ought to be considering utilizing him right now since he’s so exciting…
Eddie Howe will now need to rely on his academy players if he hopes to make an impact in the closing stages of games because Newcastle United is currently down to the bare minimum and the players that are fit are exhausted.
The team has had a string of games where they appear completely worn out toward the conclusion of the game, which is costing them important points.
It raises the question of why Howe isn’t using some of his younger players, such as Ben Parkinson, who has demonstrated a lot of talent in the development ranks and has a strong desire to win despite lacking Premier League experience.
Howe is no longer able to overlook the younger guys.
Lewis Miley is one example of how looking to your academy for additional depth can be very advantageous to both the team and the individual.
Against Bournemouth, the 17-year-old fit right into Newcastle’s midfield, and he hasn’t really looked back since. Many fans believe he ought to be a regular starter by now.
Though the Newcastle manager doesn’t appear too enthusiastic on the notion, Miley’s performances should serve as an excellent example to Howe of how other players, such as Parkinson, could be of assistance to him at this trying period.
For instance, when Anthony Gordon was knocked out against Chelsea, the first person to come on was the 34-year-old Matt Ritchie. Meanwhile, on the opposite wing, Miguel Almiron was forced to play the entire 90 minutes despite appearing exhausted the entire time.

Parkinson might be a wise substitute for Howe.
Parkinson was elevated to Newcastle’s Under-21 squad after the previous campaign, where he started the season off well. In a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth last month, Parkinson earned his first-team debut.
The adolescent has also played in Newcastle’s UEFA Youth League campaign. Parkinson scored a goal in the Magpies’ 2-1 victory over PSG, and the young Magpies performed admirably.
Howe might be turning to Parkinson in difficult times due to his adaptability. The 18-year-old can play down both the left and right wings and, at the absolute least, come off the bench for a 10- to 20-minute respite for someone.
Since he watches these players train practically daily, Howe will have the most insight, but if circumstances demand it, he will ultimately need to find a different way to keep these worn-out men on the field.
