Crosby on Carrying Momentum into Kansas City

In Monday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, the Las Vegas Raiders hope to build on their convincing victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Last time out, the Raiders set a franchise record with 63 points, showing strong play at all levels of the team. The Raiders could pull off the shock if they can maintain their high level of play, even if they have not had much luck against the Chiefs in recent years.

The Raiders may have a great chance because the Chiefs have struggled lately. On his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby, the defensive end discussed how the team is playing together and how they can maintain that momentum heading into this game.

“For us, it’s about finishing in the second half, so the players and coaching staff deserve credit for that,” he remarked. “We never gave up at all. From the beginning until the end, we kept going outside and increasing the tempo. Although it wasn’t flawless, the offensive deserves a great deal of praise. Tre Tucker tallied two touchdowns, Davante Adams gained over 100 yards, and Jakobi Meyers made an incredible diving catch for a touchdown. Bo [Hardegree], our new offensive coordinator, was playing at a high level. Every week, you simply see guys stepping up, and this week, Josh Jacobs wasn’t even here. Zamir White enters the game, has a significant impact, scores a touchdown, and it’s clear that the players are energized by one another.

We won all three phases, and that’s what we achieved. You therefore cannot ride this roller coaster into Kansas City. We cannot say, “Oh my god, we’re on top of the world after we win one game,” and then lay an egg. “What’s that next level we can get to?” must be the question. We have to find a way to get better since we’re playing a superior squad, even though I’m not promising 66 points the following week. KC is real; they are the current Super Bowl champions and a team we have faced before. We know we have to prevail, therefore I’m looking forward to the task.
