Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, faces several difficulties this week.
Not only does he need to come up with a plan to counter Brian Flores, but Detroit’s gifted play-caller is sick going into the team’s road game in Week 16.

Although I am aware that he only had one 30-yard run last week, I doubt that any of us were shocked by it. He has so been reliable. For him, it’s all about the specifics, the turning points in the running game, and knowing in pass pro who he has accountability for. He’s more than willing despite not being a really big guy, and he keeps improving in that regard. That’s presumably the one department where growth is still evident. However, the run game has performed admirably all year.
The expertise of Jared Goff by Brian Flores
The Vikings defense is playing at a high level thanks to the expertise of assistant coach Minnesota’s defensive coordinator.
Even though Goff is a seasoned veteran, Flores is probably focusing on his performance during the last two seasons rather than watching old footage of him playing with the Rams to help him prepare.
