Week 16 of the Saturday Football Injury Report, some players may not…

The Saturday schedule for this week features a few underappreciated games that could have postseason ramifications in each. The Bengals vs. Steelers winner could be in a sneaky strong position to take the AFC’s seventh seed. The Bills are playing well, but in order to stay in the hunt for the AFC East division title, they must avoid falling into an obvious trap. Keep a close eye on the injury report for every game because there is a lot going on. To everyone who is still participating in the fantasy playoffs, good luck!

Steelers vs. Bengals injury report
Bengals of Cincinnati Ja’Marr Chase: A dislocated shoulder will prevent one of the league’s top receivers from playing. Considering how excellent Jake Browning has been, he still has enough players around him to overcome the league’s 27th-ranked defense. Tee Higgins will keep popping, as she has been doing lately. Additionally, anticipate a higher target share for Tanner Hudson and Tyler Boyd.

The Pittsburgh Steelers
Fitzpatrick Minkah: This week, as he heals from a knee injury, the Steelers will be without their backup leader. With outstanding tackling grades from PFF, he has persisted in demonstrating why he is among the league’s greatest safety. Given that Pittsburgh’s whole safety depth is injured, this is the worst-case situation for them. It appears that Patrick Peterson will have to take over at free safety as of right now. There is no way of knowing what he is capable of doing there. Tee Higgins can expect two or three deep shots from him.

Kenny Pickett The starting quarterback for the Steelers will be sidelined due to an ankle ailment. Nevertheless, Mason Rudolph, who hasn’t played in a game since 2021, will take Mitch Trubisky’s place. Rudolph’s potential is unknown, but he can’t be all that bad compared to Trubisky. Pittsburgh’s offense should be mostly run-based given the Bengals’ incapacity to thwart the run. If they don’t down by more than two possessions, expect Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris to carry the ball 25–30 times each.

Miami Dolphins Mickey Hyde: Once more, Buffalo’s starting free safety will be out due to a neck ailment. Hyde is one of the league’s top safeties even in 2023. This week, Taylor Rapp will once more take his place. He has proven to be a superior tackler even though he is not as skilled in coverage as Hyde. The fact that Easton Stick is just getting started shouldn’t really matter. Stick probably won’t throw many deep passes, but keep an eye out for checkdowns to Gerald Everett and Austin Ekeler.
