Through a New Jersey pizza, NFL player Tommy DeVito has made things right.

CNN) — After a disagreement around an appearance fee, NFL player Tommy DeVito has reconciled with a New Jersey pizza.

The New York Giants quarterback was scheduled to make an appearance at Coniglio’s Old Fashioned Pizzeria in Morristown, New Jersey on Tuesday. However, the restaurant later said that the event had been postponed because of an unexpected increase in the appearance fee.

The pizza said that this occurred following the Giants’ most recent victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Coniglio’s posted on Sunday, saying, “No, @tommydevito will NOT be @coniglios this Tuesday as originally planned.”

“His representative informed us that his appearance fee would double (from $10,000 to $20,000) following last week’s victory. As a tiny, family-run firm, we felt that $20,000 was a bit much for just two hours. We sincerely apologize to everybody who had already bought a ticket.

Since no contract was ever signed, DeVito’s agent, Sean Stellato, told Action Network’s Darren Rovell that he and his client hadn’t raised the price. Coniglio’s, however, produced a screengrab of a conversation in which the two parties seemed to have made an informal agreement for $10K.

But as the legend of DeVito grows, everything is well that ends well. The well-known Italian American staple gave rise to the nickname “Tommy Cutlets,” who made an unexpected appearance at Coniglio’s on Tuesday, supposedly for free, according to Rovell.

Regarding her decision to make the appearance, DeVito told The New York Post, “It was really important to me.”

“A lot was going on at the time, and a lot of people were working on different projects with my team.

Some things fell between the cracks, and I was made aware of them as soon as I received a notification on my phone on Monday. At that point, I thought, “We need to go in there, meet him face-to-face, set things right, eat the awesome pizza, and have fun.”

The pizza’s owner, Nino Coniglio, apologized to the Post for any negative publicity DeVito may have gotten as a result of the first cancellation.

Stellato and Coniglio have been contacted by CNN Sport for comments.

“Local boy does well”
As the quarterback has become more well-known this season, DeVito, who orchestrated the game-winning drive to motivate the Giants in their most recent victory over the Packers earlier this month, and Stellato have embraced their Italian ancestry.

DeVito, a local child, joined the league as a relatively unknown prospect and still resides at home with his parents. His mother even makes his bed.

Stellato has previously stated that DeVito is picky about the businesses he will partner with, ensuring that the quarterback is aware of his roots.

“A local boy succeeds in this.” For all of the people in New Jersey, all of the people in New York, and all of the Giants fans, what he’s doing while playing for his local team is simply amazing, Stellato continued.

“He is the embodiment of the underdog.”

On Sunday, the Giants fell to the New Orleans Saints 24-6, despite DeVito’s 20-for-34, 177-yard passing performance. After trailing 7-6 at the half, New York managed to stay in the game to the end as the Saints, led by quarterback Derek Carr, threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns, shut them out in the second half.
