Qscan Injury Update: Farnworth, Paix, Haas, Reynolds, Martin, Oates, Staggs

Following medicals and scans at the Clive Berghofer Centre Qscan facility today, the Broncos are able to provide an update on many players following their victory against the Canberra Raiders last night.

“Herbie Farnworth has suffered a ruptured biceps and will undergo surgery and be out for an extended period of time,” stated Broncos Head of Performance Dave Ballard.

“During that time, the club will give Herbie all the assistance and support he needs.

“Cory Paix is expected to recuperate for four to six weeks after suffering a Grade 2 MCL strain in his knee.

“Payne Haas underwent a clear x-ray on his shoulder, and we will evaluate him over the next several days before deciding whether to play him on Friday night.

“Adam Reynolds, who has a rib injury to his costochondral junction and will be ready to face the Storm, is in a similar predicament.

Following clear scans today, Te Maire Martin and Corey Oates will report for training on Monday.

“Kotoni Staggs, who suffered a corked shoulder during Wednesday night’s Origin match, has been cleared to play on Friday night. He will continue his rehabilitation.”
