Aidan Hutchinson, the EDGE rusher for the Detroit Lions, has a chance to play his finest football this week in order to help his club secure the NFC North division.
In front of his team’s road game against the Minnesota Vikings this week, Hutchinson told reporters, “We’re all in for this opportunity we have.” “We don’t consider it a given. The guys around here probably know it.”
Expect the former No. 2 overall pick to have a big impact on the road against the Vikings.
Hutchinson has the chance to sack Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens several times this week, despite his lackluster season-long sack totals.
Mullens might even cough up the ball if Detroit’s defense can continue to apply pressure and be aggressive.
This week would be a great added touch if the gifted EDGE rusher, who is frequently around the football, picked up a fumble and scored or returned an interception for a touchdown.
“I believe that we hadn’t won a Big Ten title since, I believe, 2004 when I was a student at Michigan. Being able to take part in this and this organization’s rebirth right now is something truly unique. Extremely unique “said Hutchinson. “And there’s a lot of excitement among the guys here.”

This week, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn stated that winning a division title—something Detroit hasn’t done in thirty years—is the first step toward the team’s chances of winning a Lombardi Trophy.
However, I believe that winning this division and getting a division means a lot to everyone in this building. I mean, I’m sure it does. And we’re going to do every effort to guarantee that we accomplish that on Sunday,” Glenn declared. And that has always been the strategy. That has always been the plan, even though it took us till this third year to do it.
“But everyone wants to win that Super Bowl, man, not just win the division. However, in order to realize that you have something to work with, you must first win that division and take similar actions. And that’s what our goal is to accomplish.
