This week, Auburn’s basketball team defeated Alabama State 82-62 thanks to a very strong performance. Throughout the whole game, the Tigers maintained control, and two players achieved career milestones.
In Friday’s game, KD Johnson and Jaylin Williams each scored more than 1,000 points in their careers. Johnson was the first to make the five points required in the first half of the game by making two three-pointers. He had 13 points overall at the end of the game.
In a crazy series of plays that started with a left-handed layup and ended with a one-handed dunk off an alley-oop from Tre Donaldson in the next possession, Williams shot passed 1,000 points. With 20 points, he led the Tigers in scoring.
The next time Auburn basketball takes the floor is on December 30 versus Chattanooga at Neville Arena.

The Auburn football recruiting class of 2024 has barely had time to dry, but the class of 2025 is already generating a lot of buzz. After trading for Alabama’s 4-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman earlier this week, it appears head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff are nearing the signing of a second 2025 talent.
Although DeBose has been recruiting for other institutions all year, he made his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs in January of this year. He made multiple trips to Auburn towards the end of the 2023 season before deciding to leave the Dawgs yesterday.
Currently, forecasts from recruiting specialists everywhere indicate that the Tigers are leading the chase for the native of Mobile, who is rated as the #4 offensive tackle in the class of 2025 and the #3 recruit from Alabama.
