ESPN: Gypsy Rose Blanchard ruled out.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard claims that listening to Taylor Swift’s music helped her get through prison, and she hopes to see her idol when she is freed on Thursday.
The 32-year-old spent eight years in prison for her role in her boyfriend’s plot to murder her mother Dee Dee, who had been mistreating her for years with medical procedures.
Blanchard was granted parole after serving eight years out of her 10-year sentence for murder in the second degree. Her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, remains incarcerated as he was handed a life sentence for carrying out the killing.
After spending years locked up, Blanchard has been listening to Swift‘s entire discography and claims the music – in addition to helping her through the trauma of the abuse while it was happening – also helped her survive inside.
She is now free to live the life she desires, and what she now wants is to meet her idol in the flesh for the first time.
Gypsy is hoping she can meet Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals after planning their visit to Arrowhead Stadium for some time with her husband, Ryan, who has already bought tickets.
Swift, 34, is likely to be there as she has already attended eight games this season watching her boyfriend Travis Kelce in action, including their Christmas Day defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to TMZ, she has been a ‘Swiftie’ since the singer’s career began when she was a teenager and her music helped her through some of the toughest times in her life.
It has been stated that she has every album released by Taylor and used the money her father provided her to spend on her CDs while she was incarcerated.
It remains to be seen if she is successful in her attempts to run into the singer of Cruel Summer, but it is believed that she is preparing a social media shout-out to get her attention.
