SHOCKING NEWS: Bill Belichick want to extend his contract with the patriots’.

The New England Patriots finished their season with 4 wins and 13 losses on Sunday, making it the worst season in 20 years. Even before the season ended, many speculated that this would be his last season at the helm of the team and that he would be one of the victims of the NFL’s Black Monday, where two heads have already fallen.

However, it seems he’s found a loophole to get a new opportunity to lead the team, and is planning to give up a significant part of his power in the franchise.

Belichick was scheduled to meet with team owner Robert Kraft to evaluate his future as coach and general manager of the Pats. At the end of it, Belichick offered a brief conference and gave a statement that hinted at what could be an alternative for him to remain with the team,

I’m for whatever we decide collectively as an organization is the best thing to help our football team… Somebody’s got to have the final say. I have it. I rely on a lot of other people to help… I’m only part of it.

According to Belichick, Robert Kraft’s decision has not been made yet. They will still hold several meetings to define the future of the team: “I will sit down with Robert (Kraft), as I do every year at some point, at the end of the season, and we will talk about things as we always do,” he mentioned.

The Patriots coach claimed he is still under contract with the Pats and no one in the organization has notified him of any movement so far. “I’m under contract. I’m going to do what I always do, every day I come in and work as hard as I can to help the team in everything … as far as any decision or direction for next year, it’s too early for that.”

Bill Belichick’s failure
The Patriots signed their worst season in two decades on Monday, with a 4-13 record and since 2021 when they were eliminated by the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round, they have not returned to the playoffs. This has been their only trip to the playoffs since the departure of Tom Brady.
