Dan Quinn has change his mind from living Dallas.
FRISCO – Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is a very popular man right now, with almost every team that has a coaching vacancy requesting to speak with him.
However, there is one team that stands above the rest as a possible suitor for Quinn. From the moment Pete Carroll stepped down from the Seattle Seahawks, Quinn, who served as the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014, was tabbed as a very-likely candidate to replace his old mentor – with CowboysSI.com immediately reporting that “DQ” was jumping atop the Seattle “wish list.”
Lo and behold, the odds reflect this sentiment. According to Bookies.com, Quinn is the current favorite to become the Seahawks’ next head coach at +350, or an implied probability of 22.2 percent.
And now comes a source telling us that Quinn, in having turned down other opportunities in the last two seasons, may have all along been “targeting” a return to Seattle.
The full odds for the candidates to replace Carroll are listed below:
- Dan Quinn (+350)
- Ben Johnson (+450)
- Mike Vrabel (+600)
- Frank Smith (+650)
- Shane Waldron (+750)
- Steve Wilks (+1150)
- Kellen Moore (+1200)
- Mike Macdonald (+1400)
- Todd Monken (+1500)
- The Field (+700)
