When Taylor Swift rocked up at a Kansas City Chiefs game wearing a bright red puffer jacket with Travis Kelce‘s name on it, people take notice. For Kristin Juszczyk, it might just change her business forever.
The 34-year-old singer turned up wearing the chic jacket for the freezing playoff game against the Miami Dolphins, which the Chiefs won 26-7. And the Cruel Summer singer needed a warm jacket to keep her from freezing inside Arrowhead Stadium.
Enter Juszczyk, who designed a piece for Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany in the past. She sent one of her original-design puffers for Brittany to wear and, after she was left happy with the final result, Juszczyk decided to ‘shoot her shot’ by sending one for her new best friend Swift to wear.
And sure enough, Swift was seen arriving at Arrowhead with her custom puffer jacket, emblazoned with Kelce’s number and name, for their playoff match against the Dolphins.
The 12-time Grammy Award singer-songwriter was seen walking out of the stadium in her jersey puffer coat, much to the delight of Juszczyk, whose hard work clearly paid off.
Who is Kristin Juszczyk and why does she design jackets?
Kristin Juszczyk is a fashion designer and the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk after they married in July 2019.
She has had the task of styling some of the NFL’s most famous wives and girlfriends as they attend matches to watch their partners play, and in doing so, created some bespoke custom outfits for her fellow WAGs.
Kristin originally began making her outfits when she and Kyle wanted to design their own custom Halloween costume. After that proved a hit, she decided to open up to taking requests and let her talent take care of the rest.
Juszczyk posted a video on TikTok of how she designed the gilet for U.S Olympic gymnast Simone Biles. She ripped apart pieces of her husband Jonathan Owens’ Green Bay Packers jersey to make her the unique jacket, which also featured details on the inside of the jacket too.
There is no indication yet as to how much it costs to make each puffer or even commission one, but Swift wearing the one-of-a-kind jacket could change the very face of Juszczyk’s side business.
