ESPN: JR tight end Tucker Kraft of the Packers “attacks the game.”
SANTA CLARA, CA (Dakota News Now) – The Green Bay Packers ran out of magic in their playoff run on Saturday night, falling on a last minute touchdown in San Francisco 24-21, bringing to an end a pretty good rookie season for Timber Lake native Tucker Kraft.
The SDSU alum hauled in his first career postseason touchdown that very nearly ended up being the game winner, at the time putting San Francisco up 21-14 in the third quarter.
Combining his postseason and regular season statistics, Tucker hauled in 36 passes this season for 379 yards and three touchdowns. This largely coming in the back half of the season after fellow rookie Luke Musgrave saw the majority of the throws in the first eight games until an injury sent him to the IR. Kraft was also highly regarded for his run blocking and pass protection.
Tucker quickly became a fan favorite and certainly impressed his teammates and head coach Matt LaFleur.
Including Kraft this years Packers were the youngest team to win playoff game since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, so the future for them certainly looks bright.
Though some Vikings fans back in Tucker’s home state might not like that news!
