Leicester City 1-1 Ipswich Town: Alex Jones’ player ratings

Ipswich Town struck late to earn a crucial point against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Alex Jones provides his player ratings.

Vaclav Hladky

Didn’t look overly comfortable playing out from the back in the first half. Had to clear the ball into danger as soon as Leicester’s forwards pounced on him. Showed a big improvement after the break, however, and his saves kept Ipswich in it. 7

Harry Clarke

Had a few difficult moments against Stephy Mavididi, which was to be expected, but tried his best to hold his own. Did well to offer something extra going forward. 6

Luke Woolfenden

Probably the standout player for Ipswich across the 90 minutes. Positionally excellent, won numerous headers and played a big part in preventing Leicester from earning a comfortable win. 8 (Man of the Match)

George Edmundson

Another really impressive outing. Not only was he the physical presence that Ipswich needed against Leicester’s forward line, but he was really impressive on the ball, completing the most passes of anyone on the pitch. 7

Leif Davis

Nothing he could do about the own-goal – just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Grew into the game over time, but lacked that spark that he has on his best days. 6

Off it. Sloppy in possession and struggled when Ipswich tried to bring the ball out from the back. Found this game much harder than Sunderland. 5

Massimo Luongo

Didn’t look ready for this one. A bit sloppy, but you could really see that his movement wasn’t quite as good. Needed to be more dynamic, but deserves credit for his shot that created the equaliser. 6

Wes Burns

The main outlet on the counter, but didn’t have the beating of his full-back enough. A few wayward crosses and shots, but was probably the liveliest of Town’s attacking quartet. 6
