New York Giants. Odell Beckham Jr. questions Giants over trade to Browns: Wanted to ‘f*** me over’
New York Giants’ linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux has expressed his frustration over the team’s financial allocations, particularly in the case of Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones.

Barkley is facing contract negotiations and a looming possibility of free agency.

Thibodeaux: Saquon should have got paid first
Speaking on “7PM in Brooklyn,” Thibodeaux shared his sentiments, stating, “What I’m mad about is that Saquon – because if you look at the game, the tape, Saquon was responsible for at least 30 percent of our explosive plays, talking about the year [2022] we won the playoff game. So, for me and for the integrity of working together and hard work, and we all believe the same things, I feel like Saquon should have got paid first. That’s what I feel.”

Saquon Barkley, a two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, has been a cornerstone for the Giants both on and off the field.

His leadership, consistent production, and impact on the community have garnered him immense respect in the locker room.

Teammate Tommy DeVito, an undrafted rookie quarterback, voiced his support for Barkley, stating, “I want them to call the Brink’s truck and come drop off the cash at the front door. Now [my] hope is for the Giants [because] I want him to be in the backfield with me and all my team because I think he is the best teammate in the NFL, the best teammate I’ve had around … in my life. Hands down, for sure.”

Barkley’s uncertain future with the Giants
The uncertainty surrounding Barkley’s future adds a layer of tension to the ongoing contract negotiations.

Barkley, a Pro Bowl running back, is set to become a free agent this spring after playing the 2023 season under the franchise tag.

Despite his initial desire to finish his career with the Giants, Barkley recently acknowledged the business aspect of football, saying, “So could I see myself in another uniform? Yeah, it’s possible.”

Injuries have been a persistent challenge for Barkley, but his recent performance has showcased his resilience.

With over 1,200 yards from scrimmage and 10 total touchdowns in each of the past two seasons, Barkley, at 26, is poised for prime years ahead.
