CBS NEWS: Joseph Mazzulla have announced the signing of 4 star to replace…

Of the Celtics wing signings, Brissett got the most money and a two-year contract. They believed the 6’7 wing could crack their rotation and help them compete for a championship. The 25-year-old had experience playing a nightly role with the Indiana Pacers, but how would that translate to one of the best teams in the NBA?

Brissett has struggled to get consistent minutes, but has not lost the faith of the coaching staff. He plays 16 minutes some nights and two or not at all on others.

For the season, Brissett averages 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game. He is shooting just 29.3 percent from 3-point range. The Celtics hoped for more. They need him to consistently make jumpers if he wants additional minutes because Brissett is never going to be one of the top scoring options on the floor.

Brissett’s size and defensive potential could still earn him a place in the postseason rotation. He needs to show more when given opportunities. There will be more chances during the stretch run. Can Oshae Brissett make the most of them and start exceeding preseason expectations? It is a tall task, but one he remains capable of accomplishing.
