The difference between the two rebuilds: The Magic play defense, owning the league’s No. 5 rating. The Pistons’ defense ranks No. 28, nearly eight points worse per 100 possessions.
The Pistons could finally see the debut of shooting guard Quentin Grimes (right knee sprain), the key piece acquired in the trade with the Knicks more than two weeks ago. He practiced in full Wednesday, and is listed as probable to play (see injury report below).
