CINCINNATI — Could Mike Evans join the Bengals this offseason?

It’s not something many have considered, but the Sunday Night Football on NBC account mentioned the Bengals as a possible suitor.Mike Evans landing spots: Five logical suitors for Buccaneers star WR ahead of 2024 NFL free agency - CBSSports.com

Cincinnati has reportedly informed Tee Higgins that he’s going to be franchise tagged. Could they tag and trade the 25-year-old this offseason and then sign Evans in free agency?

Evans has been one of the most consistent players in the NFL since he was drafted in 2014.. He had 79 catches for 1,255 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He’s topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark in each of his 11 seasons.

Evans will be 31-years-old in August, but he’s still one of the elite playmakers in the NFL. It’s an unlikely scenario, but it is interesting that the NBC crew threw out the idea.Mike Evans 1,000-Yard Season Watch: Week 11 | Pewter Report
