The Buffalo Bills have had a revolving door of sorts when it comes to the backup quarterback position.

Matt Barkley, Mitch Trubisky, Case Keenum and Kyle Allen have all assumed the role of carrying the clipboard behind franchise quarterback Josh Allen. With Kyle Allen set to be a free agent, Buffalo could once again be in the market for a new backup quarterback. The Buffalo Bills have a decision to make - by Tyler Dunne

Buffalo could turn to free agency, the draft or the trade market to find a new No. 2 quarterback, but don’t count on the Bills to pursue one quarterback from within their division. Zach Wilson, the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, was recently given permission to seek a trade by the New York Jets. The quarterback could likely be had for a sixth or seventh round pick, but one Jets beat reporter does not see Buffalo in the market for Wilson.
