Before the game (on Friday), Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that the Nets will sign Jacob Gilyard to a two-way deal.

Gilyard played in 37 games this season (for the Memphis Grizzlies) and is averaging 4.7 points, 1.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 42.5% from the three-point range.

Via Scotto: “The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a two-way deal with Jacob Gilyard, league sources told @hoopshype. Gilyard appeared in 37 games for the Memphis Grizzlies this season.”

Gilyard played one game with the Grizzlies during the 2022-23 season, so this is his second season in the league.

He has also spent time in the G League and is currently averaging 14.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 9.6 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 36.1% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range in five regular season games.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games but are coming off a 124-97 victory over the Hawks (also at Barclays Center) on Thursday evening.

Cameron Johnson led the team with 29 points, one rebound, four assists and two steals while shooting 10/15 from the field and 7/11 from the three-point range in 30 minutes of playing time.
