Sarah Stewart wins Republican primary for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice

Alabama Supreme Court Associate Justice Sarah Stewart prevailed in Tuesday’s Republican primary for chief justice on on the state’s highest court, defeating Bryan Taylor, a former state senator and legal adviser to two governors, according to preliminary results from the Associated Press.Sarah Stewart wins Republican nomination for Alabama Supreme Court chief  justice

Stewart was part of a court majority that ruled frozen embryos are considered children under state law.
