Rams won’t be lacking safety options in free agency this offseason
Safety hasn’t been a high-priority position for the Los Angeles Rams during Sean McVay’s tenure, often opting to draft players rather than signing veterans in free agency. That doesn’t mean they won’t go down the free agency route, though, having signed Eric Weddle in the past.
This offseason, there will be plenty of intriguing options on the safety market — which is particularly good timing with Jordan Fuller and John Johnson both hitting free agency, too. Whether the Rams want a deep safety or someone who can line up in the slot and near the line of scrimmage, there are several players they could target for each role.
